No World Cup in Russia which jails people for ethnicity & religion!
Two months ago, on 12 October, Russian occupation court in Crimea arrested six Crimean Tatars who had committed no crime. They were charged with membership of Hizb ut-Tahrir, a peaceful Muslim movement, which is legal in most countries on earth but Russia. With four other prisoners of conscience incarcerated earlier the same month, this meant another 25 children left without their fathers.
Remember the names of ten Crimean Tatars taken hostage in October 2017: Talyat Abdurakhmanov, Ernes Ametov, Suleyman (Marlen) Asanov, Memet Belyalov, Tymur Ibrahimov, Arsen Kubedinov, Seyran Mustafaev, Seyran Saliev, Renat Suleymanov, and Server Zekiryaev.
As the Kremlin ignores the order of the International Court of Justice, resolutions of the UN, PACE, OSCE, and EU, and continues its state terror and ethnic discrimination in occupied Crimea, civilized nations should boycott 2018 World Cup in Russia unless the political prisoners are set free.
